SAN JOSE, CA, December 2, 2004—Requiring no break-in period, Supracor’s NEW Stimulite Classic and Contoured XS Cushions are specifically designed for people with sensitive skin.

“Engineered for people who require a higher level of protection for extra sensitive skin, our new Stimulite Classic and Contoured XS Cushions feature a softer top layer of specially engineered flexible honeycomb for extraordinary comfort,” said Susan Wilson, director of Research, Design and Development.

Made from an advanced medical grade material that’s antibacterial, antifungal and odor resistant these lightweight, machine-washable cushions provide Total Pressure Management®—pressure relief, reduced shearing and ventilation to control heat and moisture—the key to the prevention and treatment of pressure sores.

Stimulite Honeycomb distributes weight uniformly to relieve pressure while providing exceptional stability. The honeycomb cells contour to body shape and flex with movement to absorb shock and prevent tissue trauma. Perforations in the honeycomb cell walls circulate air and evaporate moisture.

For those who have difficulty transferring on contoured surfaces, the Stimulite Classic XS Cushion consists of three layers of flexible, fusion-bonded honeycomb, each a different firmness, enabling bony protuberances to sink freely into the cushion while supporting the surrounding anatomy. Firmer honeycomb is used to create internal side bolsters for added stability. A ventilated cover works with the honeycomb to keep people cool and comfortable.
