Supracor helps save San Jose’s Mounted Police Unit

SAN JOSE, CA, April 4, 2011—As California and the rest of the country face massive budget cuts to city programs, Supracor—a Silicon Valley-based manufacturer who makes all of its consumer products locally—has donated $17,000 to supply feed for the San Jose Mounted Police Unit’s horses this year.

“It’s the right thing to do for the horses, the livelihood of our Mounted Police Unit and for keeping our community safe,” said Curt Landi, CEO of Supracor.

In an effort to save this special operations unit, Supracor contacted The Friends of San Jose’s Mounted Unit to see how it could help. This nonprofit organization is committed to promoting the importance of horse patrol for crime prevention downtown, in our parks and neighborhoods as well as search and rescue, crowd control at public events and dignitary protection.

A strong supporter of Mounted Police Units throughout the country, Supracor provides its high-performance, therapeutic saddle pads and hoof pads to these critical city units at a special discount.
